About Concrete Contractors Fargo
Concrete Contractors Fargo pours and replaces residential flatwork in Fargo and the towns around it: driveways, backyard patios, stamped and colored concrete, front walks and steps, and garage and shed slabs. Repair is part of the job too, and part of repair is saying plainly when a cracked or sunken slab is not worth saving.
The two conditions we design around
The first is soil. Fargo is built on the floor of glacial Lake Agassiz, and the plastic clay beneath the topsoil gains volume when it is wet and loses it when it dries. The second is weather: roughly 43 days a year at or below zero, a bit more than 51 inches of snow, and a sand and salt mix spread on city streets. Slabs set on a thin base, or poured from a mix without entrained air, wear out quickly under both.
What you can expect from us
An estimate starts with a site visit. We measure, watch how the lot drains, and look at the ground the new concrete will sit on. The written quote lists slab depth, base, steel, finish and price as separate items. Before a date is set, we look up whether your city wants a permit or a specially licensed contractor for any part of the work, and we tell you in writing. On pour day, exterior concrete goes down air-entrained over compacted gravel, with the joints already laid out. When the forms come off, you get plain instructions on curing, when to drive on it and how to treat it through its first winter.
